GMAUK SUBMISSIONS

The organisers of the Ghana Music Awards UK havealways endeavoured to present an awards scheme that reflects the views of both the general public and industry professionals.

For this reason, a structured selection process has been implemented this year to enhance the credibility of the awards scheme.

COLLECTION OF ENTRIES

Submissions for GMAUK 2026 (10th Anniversary) are now open.

NOMINATIONS AND CATEGORISATION PROCESS

A list of categories is available for online submissions at www.gmauk.co.uk/submission, along with detailed category definitions.

• A call for entries is published in the press and across online platforms
• Nomination forms are submitted by record companies
• Internet search portals are used to track online releases and verify release dates
• Data from mobile content companies is also used to verify releases

THE BOARD AND ACADEMY

The Board (comprising expert industry professionals from Ghana and the UK, selected by the GMAUK team) and the Academy are responsible for completing the shortlisting of all submitted works.

The Board compiles all entries into the appropriate categories and produces the final nominations list, which is then published for public voting.

This process ensures a verified list of nominees across all categories.

ELIGIBILITY

To be eligible for nomination for the Ghana Music Awards UK 2026, submitted works must have been released between 1st April 2025 and 31st March 2026.
